As a cherished link to our past, and a source of inspiration for the future, we look to safeguard our shared heritage and preserve your buildings to ensure they stand the test of time for future generations.

"It has been most truly said at our meetings that these old buildings do not belong to us only. They are not in any sense our property, to do as we like with. We are trustees for those that come after us."
Extracts from William Morris's address at the 12th Annual Meeting of the Society for the Protection of Ancient Buildings. 3rd July 1889
These houses and cottages of both urban and rural Britain were constructed using far more vapor-permeable materials such as limestone, cob, stone, brick, and timber but whatever the type of property. Homeowners, contractors and professionals of all types have unfortunately made interventions with the wrong measures and without a basic understanding of their design and the performance and characteristics of the materials used in pre 1919 building construction. We firmly believe by preserving these historic structures it has a significantly positive impact on the nature of the surroundings and our communities wellbeing.
